Today we started to knuckle down & begin sourcing locations for our mass cast shoots. The main scene which we will need multiple extras to orchestrate is our 60's/70's colourfully swinging party. We began to look into venue hires for this shoot, because we felt that for this scene in particular it would be necessary to have a large space to work with & dress - giving us enough room to create classic choreography & multiple angles for the shoot - dance moves, conversations role-played snapshots, band, HA shots / ariel, panning dance shots etc. We sent emails out to x3 different rentable hall venues & are currently awaiting their replies. Once we have managed to secure a key location then we will move on to our storyboarding stage, as we need to be fully aware of what we are working with and how much creative scope we are being allowed on our small budget. Although Some of the shoots of course we can film in our own houses / in public venues EG: American style diner - with the owner's permission of course; thus we will begin story boarding these primarily. In addition we began to mark out an overview of our schedule looking at the time over the next 5 weeks in order to plan each step & give our selfs clear motives & aims for our work & time management. We plan to begin actually filming on the 24th of November, once we have : created a visual animatic of our storyboard, secured and labeled all our costumes, secured & finalised every cast member and location ( and actors perks - EG: food & water & breaks scheduled) & finalised our scheduling sheet & created multiple copies for all the filming crew + the actors.
